Penn’s Platt Performing Arts House offers a supportive programmatic home for creative exploration and expression. Platt is home to The Performing Arts Council, an umbrella organization for 45+ student-run comedy, spoken word, dance, theatre, and music organizations

The Penn Band is a part of the Department of Athletics at the University of Pennsylvania. It stands among the largest and most active student-run organizations on-campus, performing upwards of 100 times during the academic year and the guardians of all things 'Red and Blue.'
Enjoy Ivy League, NCAA Division I athletic competition at its finest – whether as a spectator or as a participant, through Penn Varsity athletics. Club sports offer opportunities to practice regularly, and possibly compete against surrounding schools within a designated league or at regional tournaments. Intramural sports are for everyone, from the experienced athlete to those looking to try a new sport. Their goal is to provide fun, safe, and competitive sports programming that appeals to all levels of athletes.

The Daily Pennsylvanian (DP) is Penn’s independent student news organization. The DP covers news, sports, and entertainment from the University and around the Philadelphia metro area.
Broadcasting online 24/7, WQHS is an entirely student-run radio station. DJs play an eclectic freeform variety of music genres.

Each cultural resource center at Penn supports a student-led umbrella group, and each umbrella oversees a range of student organizations that celebrate cultural identity.
The Penn community includes students who are the first in their families to go to college and/or who come from low-income households. Penn First is a registered student organization dedicated to creating a campus community for first-generation, low-income (FGLI) students through social events, workshops, and advocacy.
Our fraternities and sororities are held to the highest standards of integrity and respect. They give voice to students on campus, teach leadership skills, and offer opportunities to be of service to the local community.
Penn Student Government (PSG) reaches many corners of student life, from funding hundreds of student groups, to planning social events, guest speakers, and concerts, to advocating on behalf of students on academics and other issues and ensuring that all voices are heard by the administration.
